Springtime in the Park

The spring weather has been excellent in my corner of the world, neither too warm nor too cold. And yesterday, I took the opportunity to walk in one of my favourite parks, Mount Coot-tha Botanical Gardens. Here are some photos I snapped.

Which scent did I take to accompany me? Well, it had to be the excellent Miller Harris offering, Wander Through the Parks. I’ve reviewed it on my blog before. It opens with a zing of red berries and a touch of grapefruit before the heart notes take over. Spiky, edgy greens of nettle and galbanum give the scent a vegetal, herbal, fresh-cut grass feel and do, as the moniker suggests, evoke the sensation of a wander through a park.

Fig and tuberose notes in the mid add some fruity floral complexity. The green earthy dry down of violet leaf and patchouli close things out appropriately. If you enjoy scents like APSU from Ulrich Lang and Panorama from Olfactive Studio, you may enjoy Wander. Wander Through the Parks is up there with Chanel’s Bel Respiro as one of my favourite green scents and the perfect perfumed accompaniment to a sunny spring day. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

    1. Thanks so much, Rich. Yes, I’ve been enjoying this “in-between” weather before the inevitable humidity starts to kick in over the summer.

    1. It was a good day indeed. Yes, and the wildlife at this park aren’t scared of humans, so you can get close to them for photos. And if you aren’t careful the lizards and birds will pinch your lunch if you’re having a picnic. Haha.
