A Rhyming Acrostic Poem Dedicated To Modern Perfumery

A photo of my hippeastrum flowers growing in my yard. Nothing to do with the poem, but I thought they looked nice.

Here’s my poem dedicated to the modern perfume world.

Monotonus, boring, copied blends.

Opulent, lavish, costly spends.

Drydowns, have they gone away?

Endless newness every day.

Roja with his magic tricks.

Niche perfumes with Ambrofix.

Prices higher, make it stop.

Extra strength, the panty drop.

Rest in peace to perfumed wow.

Focus on the bottle now.

Unfortunate, I turn to thrift.

Mail me soon, and kindly gift,

Everything and make it swift.

Rinse, repeat, and backyard brews.

YouTube experts after views.

This kookaburra was pretty confident, working out its plan of attack. It then started to laugh very loudly. I can’t be sure, but I think it may have been laughing at the state of modern perfume (probably).

Images my own. Thoughts my own.

    1. Thanks, Nose Prose. Yes, I hear them everyday. I probably see them a couple of times per week, but if I really tried I could probably spot one every day.

        1. Yes, especially when they decide to start up at 4:30 in the morning. Fortunately, they don’t go all day and night.
