D.S. & Durga Report Card

And now, for something completely different, it’s time to return to school.

During their lunch break, D.S. and Durga hang out with Byredo and Le Labo (and some other cool guys called Atticus, Leopold, and Gulliver), sipping kombucha and listening to Bon Iver and Death Cab for Cutie. In the 2024 yearbook, they are voted most likely to wear skinny jeans, sport a man bun, grow an ironic beard, and become Vespa-driving hipsters.

Final Recommendations:

I recommend the student slows down with their releases. Furthermore, I get the impression this student thinks they are too cool for school. They do their best work with Italian dining and roses. Perhaps they should only turn up to school on February 14. Yes, that’s a cool idea. Stick to one release/appearance a year. Then you would really stand out from the crowd. There’s no need to come up with something new every day, and for the love of god, stop playing with fire.

D.S. & Durga – Basil N Roses.

Anyway, I’m off to listen to some Arcade Fire. My scent of the day is Moscow Mule from JHAG, and I need to go shopping for a new beard comb and another cardigan. Oh no, what have I become!!!!!!!!!!

All thoughts and photos are my own.

    1. Thanks, Flaconneur. Enjoy the samples, they do have some good stuff. Just make sure when you sample them you’re wearing your best flannel shirt and oversized glasses to get the authentic experience.

    1. Thanks, Nose Prose. And yes, you are right. I shall raise my cup of chai latte in toast to all the hipsters, their culture and the brands. They are indeed, very inspiring!

    1. Thanks, TetΓͺ. Despite my flippant post, they have some good scents that are worth a sample.

    1. Haha. I think so, Rich. Though, perhaps I was channeling my days as a naughty student.

  1. Brilliant format!
DS & Durga are far too cool & expensive for me. I doubt women in their 60’s are the crowd they want to attract though, so all’s good

    1. Thanks very much, Alityke. Yes, I think they have a specific audience in mind with their many, many releases.
