Perhaps due to the warming weather, the jasmine in my garden is in bloom once again. I say perhaps because there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when my jasmine flowers. I’ve noticed periods of growth during all weather conditions in spring and winter and even in the autumn—no complaints from me. I love the heady, rich smell emanating from the flowers. The aroma seems particularly strong in the humid air during the evening. I can smell it from quite a long distance while I’m inside. Here are a few photos from the past couple of days. The bees are loving it!
Beautiful blooms! Must be better than any room fragrance if you can smell them from inside the house?
Thanks! Yes, absolutely. Most room sprays vanish very quickly, and some smell quite artificial. The natural scent of the jasmine lasts all day and night. Can’t beat it!
Beautiful photos, Daniel. Thanks for sharing. There’s nothing better then when a fragrant garden occupant shares its lovely fragrance with you on the inside. It’s a great time to open the windows and let it all it.
Thank you, Flaconneur! Yes, I agree. It’s brilliant! And better than any room spray as I mention in my reply to the comment from Nose Prose.
Wow! So gorgeous! I almost can smell them by looking at your captures!
Thanks Tetê! I’m glad you like them.
The bees are loving it. And I’m loving your pics, dear Daniel! The jasmine bloomed early this year in Johannesburg (from late July). Climate warming at work….
Thanks, Rich. Yes, the seasons and climates seem to be in a permanent state of change.
