In today’s blog post, my quick first impressions on a pair of pears. One I’m lukewarm on and one I liked. Let’s start with the dodgy one.
juliette has a gun – Pear Inc. – Alright, I’m fed up with this brand. It’s just the same old thing we’ve seen a million times before. We’ve even seen a similar scent to Pear Inc from JHAG before. It reminds me of their Moscow Mule mixed with Dolce & Gabbana’s Light Blue for Women. A wholly uninspiring musky, synthetic pear that is completely overpriced. Next.
Nicolai Parfumeur Createur – Angelys Pear – Angelys Pear is a far more substantial offering than Pear Inc. The chypre backbone of bergamot, oakmoss, patchouli, and floral notes, ensuring a much more enjoyable experience. The pear is both sweet and sour in parts without ever becoming cloying. If you’re a fan of Chanel scents like Cristalle EDT and Deauville, this one should be on your try list. It’s marketed as unisex, but I think Angelys Pear leans feminine. The light musky dry down makes for a perfect companion on warm weather days. Very nice.
Have you tried these new releases? What did you make of them?
Note: Bottle images courtesy of Google. Pear Inc. tested in-store. My Instagram friend, Tete, kindly provided the sample of Angelys Pear. @niche_rare_fragrances. Thank you for the sample, Tete.
Glad you like Angelys!
Thank you very much, once again for the sample, Tetê. 🙏🙏
Haven’t tried these releases, dear Daniel. Angelys Pear sounds rather nice. Thanks for your insights.
Thanks for reading and your ongoing support, Rich.
