Thanks to my Instagram friend, Tetê, I’ve recently explored three of the offerings from the niche outfit, Dusita. I’ve been impressed. Here are some quick thoughts.
Dusita – Erawan – This is my least favourite of the three I tried. Still, it remains an intriguing proposition—fresh, crisp, and herbal green, underpinned by a creamy vanillic warmth. No doubt the hay accord gives it an aromatic sweetness evoking freshly mown lawn. The woods and mosses in the perfume’s base complement the vanilla providing a long-lasting, enjoyable dry down. It reminds me slightly of Rogue Perfumery’s Mousse Illuminee.
Dusita – Issara – Issara shares some similarities with Erawan. An engaging mix of green pine, herbal notes, and dried tobacco. Tonka brings an injection of sweetness and a fresh hay-like facet. Vetiver bourbon and oakmoss work together to deliver a classical aromatic fougere feel to the composition. Soft and sits close to the skin, but very addictive. Great work.
Dusita – Moonlight in Chiangmai – Another contender for my favourite releases of 2020. A fizzy, syrupy, juicy opening of jasmine and yuzu. The yuzu gives the scent a tropical feel. Alongside the freshness and juiciness runs a smoky accord, perhaps a combination of the myrrh, woods, and vetiver that make up the base. Benzoin imparts some balsamic and resinous depth. It has strong sillage and lasting power of over 12 hours. I’ll go out on a limb and say this is one of the more commercial offerings from the house thus far. It’s a real crowd-pleaser. A freshie with depth. Fantastic.
Have you tried any of these releases? Do you have a favourite from the house?

I agree with you, Moonlight is easy to like and to wear, and it’s different of Dusita’s regular style too. I enjoy a lot the fruity woody vibe, and also it’s longevity is perfect! Erawan has a nice sweetness, but it wasn’t for me; and neither was Issara. My favorite by Dusita is Melodie de l’Amour! Although i like also Fleur de Lalita, Le Sillage Blanc and Splendiris. Beautiful scents! Tks for mentioning my instagram page!
You’re welcome. Thanks again for the decants, enabling me to discover the brand. They certainly have some excellent offerings.
That’s very kind of Tetê. This house has been on my list for some time now, Daniel, and your insightful reviews make me want to try it even more.
Thanks Rich. They are certainly worth exploring.
I have Dusita sample set minus the newest one, I should probably get cracking 😀 Nice post Daniel.
Thanks very much, Kati. You are in for a treat. I am sure you’ll find some you will enjoy. Let me know which ones stand out. 😀
